SHARE distributes food through a network of
320
partnering "host organizations" comprised of churches, tenant
associations, senior and day care centers, schools, and other community
agencies. SHARE depends on solid relationships with these collaborating organizations to carry out its mission. Once your
organization becomes a SHARE Host Site, there are many benefits to follow.
As a host site, your organization will have a program in place that will meet the needs of
many. For example, your members and community will instantly save
money on groceries. SHARE also creates opportunities for Host
Organization members to do volunteer service and build stronger
communities. Many of our sites use SHARE as a way to purchase
quality food packages for donation to their food pantry or people in need.
Other sites use it as a way of completing volunteer service requirements
for their youth and other members.
Being a SHARE Host Site is an amazing role in the community. The
concept of SHARE almost seems too good to be true. So we invite you
to ask us questions and let us explain how SHARE can work for your
organization.

1. Request a host information packet.
Click Here to request a packet or call 301-864-3115.
2. Arrange for a SHARE staff member to make a presentation to your group.
3. Attend an orientation and training session for new SHARE Host Sites.
4. Send a letter of intent to SHARE. This letter indicates why your
group wants to become a
SHARE Host Site.
5. Complete and sign a Host Site Agreement. A Host Site Agreement is
a covenant between
SHARE and the Host Organization. It outlines your
responsibilities to follow SHARE
procedures, and SHARE agrees to help maintain and develop the site
to get
them full operational.
